Maxi is an experienced relationship counsellor, sex educator, and psychosexual therapist specialising in relationship difficulties, emotional intimacy, communication challenges, and sex therapy. He supports couples who feel disconnected, stuck in repeating conflict patterns, or unsure how to talk about needs, boundaries, and desire. His approach focuses on helping partners reconnect emotionally, rebuild intimacy, and feel understood rather than attacked. He also supports couples navigating separation with clarity and compassion.
For couples experiencing sexual difficulties—such as pain, anxiety, mismatched libido, performance pressure, sexual shame, or avoidance—Maxi integrates sexual education, practical coaching strategies, and psychosexual therapy to gently rebuild pleasure, curiosity, and safety in the relationship.
“Most of us were never taught how to build healthy relationships or navigate intimacy. We learn through culture, family, and trial and error—not all of it helpful. My role isn’t to judge or take sides, but to help you understand each other, communicate safely, and rebuild connection. Seeking support isn’t weakness—it’s maturity.”
Maxi and his colleague, Ashley, host a weekly queer radio program, Talk Therapy to Me, on JOY 94.9.
